There is a big problem with them on our allotment; one of the old boys has a cat who lives on site (not specifically for the rabbits, she was a house cat who didn't like living indoors and he didn't like her going out on the roads so she moved to the allotment and loves it!) and a couple of them go ...

Wow - I had no idea! The complete bastards! I'm so going off supermarkets, and I wasn't fond of them beforehand. For more reading, have a look at Not on The Label (What REALLY goes into the food on your plate). Felicity Lawrence, Penguin, 0-141-01566-7. It does rant a bit, but with good reason and ...

I went for a meal with my parents in a weatherspoons and ordered five bean chilli. They gave me beef chilli and when I complained the response I got was 'but it has beans in it!'

Soap

I'm hoping to be able to save some money buying soap, and also maybe give some as presents.

However I've never made soap before and wondered if any of you good people had some handy hints, web resources or tried and tested 'beginner' recipes I can use and modify with practice?

Cheers

My thoughts are with you, it's a very difficult time. I lost someone recently and it does make you think, about a lot of stuff really. I've always maintained that I want people to remember me where they feel close to my memory and that shouldn't be mandated and restricted to having to go to a gravey...

You should definitely keep it, beards not only look great but are extremely sexy and feel much nicer rubbing against your check than stubble and the asscioated stubble rash!

I'm definitely a beard lover, my OH is told he *can't* shave his!

See the trouble is I don't drive. Having lived in cities most of my life you just don't need too as you can walk/use public transport to get anywhere you need to go for less cost, less hassle and frequently quicker! It's also less stinky, I have to say I've never seen the point of having a car unles...

More bicycling goodness!

I finally got my bike repaired (new brake cable) and back from the shop, so I've been whooshing downhill in the local park and struggling uphill  Yay! It's been great fun, although I'm a little bit unsteady since it's been about 15 years since I last rode a bike. I also got a basket and decent...

I wish I could wash my hair less often, I have dermititis on my scalp and find if I don't wash it every third day (which is a pain if nothing else!) then it gets itchy and scabby :-(

That's aside from the huge amount of greasiness it suffers from being long and fine! That I can handle!
