I was annoyed a few years back about this - it was the year HDRA were doing the supermarket watch survey on organic fruit & veg. I still have one fleece that I bought in July 2007 (?) - it is still tied up and I can't get it undone so it is just sitting there.... Waiting..... and Waiting....
Did I read/hear somewhere about using fleece in loft insulation?

I needed more bran so bought a big bag from Org. gardening catalogue. Anyway, it is kept out of direct light and relatively cool, and has only been opened a few times, but resealed with air squished out. Some of the bran has started to go green. Is this normal? Is the bran still useable?

Could be worse - could be those press 1 for this, press 2 for.... and then you get through to another press 1 for...., press 2 for.... then maybe again you get through to another press 1 ......

I think it is perhaps a bit early for blight.. However, if you use rainwater from a butt and it is going directly onto the leaves, then the humidity and temperature could help blight spores... perhaps even if you water the soil, it is being splashed up onto the leaves.. 2nd earlies seem to be the ones that the catalogues sell for "Second cropping". Carlingford, I think is one.
