Re: Stove Warm Air Heating

Thanks for that Tiggy. I did a bit more research yesterday and came up with this VORTICE PUNTO GHOST RANGE ■ Complies with the requirements of Part F1 of the Building Regulations even when connected on 3m flexible aluminum duct (with 2 x 90° bends). Suitable for installation in walls, ceilings/false...

Re: Stove Warm Air Heating

We also have a squirrel in our lounge with air vents in the ceiling, to two of our bedrooms (had ours for about 15 years, love it). I am also thinking of putting in a fan at ceiling hight, to transferee some of the heat into the dining room. Anybody done that with any success? While I am at it, anyb...

Re: Pure (True) vs. Modified Sine Wave?

Good morning Enigma I have tried ruber seals (Part of a loo bend kit) to no avail. Apparently the leather has got to be moulded otherwise the stitching wears through. There were originally leather seals on the pump I believe. As you quite rightly say, have probably had grease spread around them to m...

Re: Pure (True) vs. Modified Sine Wave?

Enigma I also have a well in my garden. It has all the original parts but I am having problems finding a leather cup seal to enable me to hand pump it (if anybody knows where I can obtain these, it would be appreciated). Instead of using an inverter for your 240v pump, why not use a 12 V boat bilge ...

Re: where to start with fisihng?

Interesting thread perhaps somebody can help me out. As a sailing man I spent most of my weekends on the boat which is moored it in an estuary. I am sure that there must be sea bass lurking about on the bottom. How do I catch them? I don't particularly want to use live bait. I have had a fair bit of...

Re: Wood burning decision

I am looking for a really small wood burner with a small oven incorporated. We presently have a Morso squirrel in our lounge area, which heats most of the house (as I think I mentioned before, we have super insulated the entire building). As our kitchen is way out at the back of the house, it is sti...

I understand where you're coming from snapdragon. They are probably the most destructive words that we use today. In the main most angry outbursts happen, because things are not moving the way you want them to, and (if it is directed towards you) vice versa. It is often used to control and bully by ...

101 uses for Meditation

Learn to meditate (It seems to go with our way of life in this stressed out world) While meditating (A) think how to only store love, and removed hatred (B) Refused to give out anger, if you only have room for love within you, there will be no room for anger, and is therefore none to give. (C) Given...

Back in the land of the living, last week I was bitten by a dog, had to have a tetanus injection to cover it, and then to top it all, picked up a rotten cold. The injection and the cold seemed to have joined forces in order to put me flat on my back. This morning I have decided I'm not going to die ...
