FREE: 6 hens (North Wales)

3 of my very friendly Warrens and 3 equally friendly Black Rocks (crossed with something, don't know what!) need a new home.
They're about 3yrs old and lay quite well although they are obviously past their peak productivity.

Please PM me if interested.

Thanks

Re: Does anyone else ever feel like this about their toddler?

Well , just to update that, thanks to forcing myself to be more organised and especially forcing myself ( and everyone else) to bed earlier, I feel more human now.
Although DS2 is screaming his head off at the moment so I'd better stop typing...!

Re: Does anyone else ever feel like this about their toddler?

Thank you all so much for your replies - each one of them was very useful. Thanks for the link Lynne - I'm off to check it out. We too, have had all these parenting courses shoved at us. We went on some of them only to find they did not address or issues or respect our values at all. And yes, we too...

Does anyone else ever feel like this about their toddler?

OK, I'm incredibly ashamed of even typing this and you might all think I'm a monster but I need to know if I am indeed a monster or if this is somewhat normal/understandable. DS1 has just turned 3. DS2 is 8 months. DS1 has always been 'spirited' - literally since birth. Didn't sleep much, breastfed ...

Thank you everyone.
It's a super sensitive subject for any mum - whether they've breastfed or bottlefed so I doubly appreciate people being honest and voicing their opinions.

we've tried weaning our 2yo from waking up - nothing has worked but then again it's my fault for co-sleeping. we've just moved in this house and the 2 bedrooms are opposite ends of the cottage. i'm already so tired that i really don't fancy trecking to the other side of the cottage during the night....

I hadn't thought of that possibility. It would be a good idea except DH deals with our toddler who still wakes about 4x a night so I can't really ask him to deal with the baby - we'd just be swapping kids!

Mixed feeding...well, just a little

My 2nd baby is 10 weeks old and has been breastfed exclusively. The sleep deprivation is really getting to me. I have PND and also have a very active 2.5yo to look after so sleeping during the day isn't an option as he doesn't nap anymore. I'm considering giving my youngest a bottle before bedtime s...

Home ed issues

If your child seems bored at home is it a good idea to put him in nursery for a few hours a week? DS (2.5yo) seems bored at times. I'm torn between giving in to the pressure from others and putting him in nursery so that 'he learns how to be with others' and 'has fun' or teaching him at home and per...

just keep a cockerel among your layers .. and maybe add a few "meat" birds in the lot .. Then find some broodie birds, layers tends not too ... but many breeds and crosses do ... and give them the eggs that you want to incubate. Keep the hens, and eat the roosters ... some won't be too me...

Looks like my Orpington is no longer available...he was coming to me via freecycle...not sure what happened.

Any, Thurston would you be willing to sell me some Sasso eggs? Alternatively, where did you source your Sasso birds originally?
