Raised beds need more watering not less. :? Plastic, whilst very effective at killing weeds, is a haven for slugs, as well as being expensive, and environmentally unfriendly. Mulching fabric is less of a haven and slightly cheaper but still not environmentally friendly. Cardboard is my preferred wee...

I haven't done much yet, I've only had it a week :wink: I've cleared the nettles off a strip at the top, about 4ft by 10m, but have yet to dig out the roots. I'm lucky where I am, no politics at all.
