Re: Where can I buy online alternative type shampoo's?
As another ageing male with thinning hair on the top of my head, although more than enough elsewhere, I started to get scabs forming on my scalp. I believe that's fairly common in older men, but as I've never been old before I couldn't guarantee that as a fact. Anyway it got to the stage where they...

Brassica identification
Hi all. I've got lots of what look like brassica seedlings popping up in a flower pot and in the gravel around my potting area. I didn't get around to sowing my kale and broccoli yet, but did have the seeds out at one point, so they could have got out that way. I also have plenty kids helping with s...

Re: Smart phones
Surprised that you mention Alcatel not being Android, as I was under the impression that majority of non Apple phones were android. I don't know the model you are referencing, but just googled Alcatel and seems they are Android, so maybe worth checking again.

Re: no worms in my raised beds
Just dug over my veg patch the other morning, and it was fairly cold, but was full of big fat worms, but I did dig deep, so maybe that's the difference. Why don't you just have a deep dig in one spot to see if they are further down? I did put a lot of farmyard manure in last year, which I do every c...

Re: Big travel to see shows
I love the unusual plant fairs, you don't get them here and I really miss going usually to an old house with a lovely garden, and being able to buy lots of lovely plants you may not see anywhere else from the people who grow them and know all about them There was a rare plan sale on at Fota House i...

Re: Pressure Barrel
I think that most people still prime the barrel, as it would take quite a bit of c02 to get the same amount of carbonation. When I had pressure barrels, I primed the barrel, and then only used the c02 bulbs when pressure got a bit low, so you could get a good pull again.

Re: Beer from hops
You will need a trellis or a fence or something for it to grow on. If you choose a variety that is hardy, one plant will give a home brewer enough to brew with all year long. I have a cascade plant, it grows 20+ feet tall on my 20+ foot trellis. it produces about 20 lbs of hops each year...that dri...

Re: A natural deodorant that really works.
Hi All. Really interested to see this thread. I used lynx deodorant for many years, but now seem intolerant to it, as it makes me itch. I've tried other deodorants from the body shop and hamilton, but they have the same effect. I'm not particularly smelly, but if I don't use something, washing alone...

Re: lemon balm/mint cuttings & seeds wanted, can swap for seeds
Hi Nomada. I did have a couple of pots of lemon balm around the place, but will have to check at home, as they are stuck outside somewhere. I'll see what I can find. I am based in Ireland, but reckon if I just tease out a root that postage wouldn't be too bad if I do it via work. Let me know if you ...

Re: Homegrown "Cascade Hops" for swapsies
Hey Minnesota. $2 per rhizome sounds very fair to me. I will take the medium box at least, as have plenty of space and will pass a few rhizomes to my brew buddies. I'll contact you again closer to the time to arrange everything. If you are interested, check out the Irish Craft Brewers website. We ha...

Re: Homegrown "Cascade Hops" for swapsies
Hey Minnesota. Thanks for checking this out for me. I will probably be over in the US some time next year. I will try and make it around march, so maybe you could ship to one of my work buddies around Boston? I can pick them up from there, and I can bring them back directly, so you wouldn't be break...
