Learn to fish?

Hello gang,

A friend and I have decided that we should learn to fish. Thought I'd start this thread for any keen f-ishers (see what i did there ) to impart knowledge/advice regarding starting fishing.

Looking forward to hearing from you all

So I finally got the Singer sewing machine that my mother-in-law lent us in working order :-) I am very proud as I made my dear wife a new handbag from an old shirt and an old tshirt that both got too small for me. Also made my sister a bag and make-up bag for her birthday, she loved it, my nan and ...

my greenhouse died :(

So i decided to buy a greenhouse for the allotment instead of making one... BIG mistake! It was a temporary greenhouse, 3.5x2x2metres in size... it seems that it wanted to be a kite :( It is now TOTALLY broken?! The metal tubes were rather weak. I think I'll try to use the outer skin and some of the...

Re: Need some advice please

I really hope your OH is feeling better soon SPS and that you've got support too! I can understand why you are so upset at the state of the food/hubby not eating! Hospital food really makes me angry! I'm a psychiatric nurse on a ward for adults with dementia and the food is foul, unappetising and in...

Re: Turf question

Hello growingthings! By "girls" do you mean children? When I mention my "girls" I'm talking abut my chickens :D I'm planning to lay turf today but there's no way I'll be able to keep them off it! I think that newly laid turf is meant to be left for a 2-3 weeks before it is used p...
