Re: Virgin Media

virgin media have the most appalling customer service. we are really struggling with our cable modem which now needs constant re-setting - we have had the same hardware for over 7 years - and when i phoned them about the problems they would not let me speak to their 'technical people' on a free line...

Re: I was polled by t3scos

There was nothing smug or self-righteous about my posts yes there was, and you seem to have managed it with all your posts on this thread. I haven't touched on my personal circumstances in this thread, and you know nothing about them. likewise I really don't care whether you choose to misinterpret ...

Re: I was polled by t3scos

The choice is simple really. If you care about the state of the countryside, agriculture, your health, your local economy and community, then you have to oppose a new supermarket. If you like being able to buy clingfilm-wrapped, chemical-laden food that can only be produced under sweat-shop conditi...

Ho-hum...this old topic again. The choice is simple really. Re: Croup

our eldest had this when she was 11 months old, over christmas and new year. she was poorly for about 3 weeks and we actually had to turn back when we were travelling from france to the uk and delay the journey as the coughing made her vomit and she was distressed. she slept a LOT though as she reco...

Re: Interest rates cut to 3%

then we had Katie and decided that rather than handing her over to someone else to bring up while we worked all hours to pay a mortgage on a new house, we would stay in our tiny council house and paying rent, and raise her properly :geek: (with no money  ). luckily, no-one told us that you co...

Re: I don't deserve this

Perhaps advertising is more appealing to those who are more worried about 'appearance' than I suspect us lot are. Some days I don't look in a mirror for a week. I wonder if we'd all be happier if mirrors were abolished? The cosmetics market would collapse. :rabbit: i care about my appearance. i was...

Re: quorn??

i don't like quorn. my girls, who don't eat meat, do. so we buy it. i much prefer something like lentils to substitute for mince in something like shepherd's pie. lentils are easy to get ready prepared.

Re: Segway anyone?

i had a go on one of these at paris plages this summer. it was great fun but, as far as transport goes, it just seems to be a very expensive skateboard. i didn't fall off, but my first attempt at ramp ascension provided onlookers with a few moments entertainment. i got a round of applause on success...

Re: Finally I asked for help with mental issues

I know just what you mean... All those blimming bean stalks telling you "just eat less", just do this or that, well, you have to have smaller portions, just have more exercise (yeah right, after working all day on the farm  ) - and they really have absolutely no idea what they are t...

Re: eco menstrual stuff - boring for men

just started using mine and this thread has been very helpful. i was worried it would be a bit messy to extract, but in fact it's very clean. i was also worried about using it in a toilet where there isn't a (private) washbasin, but actually its not a problem. however, i'm quite glad the loo at work...
