Interesting reading the posts, ive nt logged on for a while. Well, we have been busy, thought we had some land in cornwall, but it proved to be too heavy soil, very 'clay'y' and hard to work, so we had to pull out of this. Seen a good patch in somerset, but this is up for auction with 6 other fields...

Interesting reading this thread as I have similar ideas. I am in process of selling my house to fund all of this. How I am sorting it is to buy my land, put a 2-3 bed static on it, use gennie, solar, wind etc for power, [off grid but do have water]. We will be using compost loo's. I plan to have chi...

you could get some of the plant thay grows with stinging nettles! cant remeber what its called but it has really big stalks and the leaf's r huge!
give her plenty of rougage to get anything that may cause squits to pass through her x

Hi congrats on saving a few girls. Where I live we have loads of chickens - i think theres about 25 and 6 cocks. As your getting ex battery they WILL be shell shocked the first few days so your best bet is to leave them alone to discover their new home. Ex battery hens can live for a good few years ...

If anyone has some they cant use i will gladly busy some off you.

The problem we have is you need to be registred with a vet and the vet would have had to have seen your sheep within 6 months prior to giving the vaccine - we have never needed a vet
