Re: Three Generations under one roof
At one point we had 4 generations in one house, my Grandparents, my parents, me and my daughter but that was some time ago. It wasn't so much like the Waltons, more like the bloomin Adams Family

Re: Green garden waste collections
We have fortnightly collections here in Bromley. They do rubbish and paper one week followed by other recycling and food the next week. They charge £60 for up to 4 ( I think) garden collections per year, but you don't have to pay for that. We compost most things, although when the autumn comes and w...

Well done Helsbells. I never got on with mine. I have to use pads as I seem to have aquired a 'swelling' of that area for the first two days of every period now. Getting old sucks

Beautiful Odsox, I've only just had snowdrops this week and that's in London where we don't get any 'weather'.

Re: Impatient
I have a pond which needs sorting out, but every time I have had the weather to go out and do it something else has come up. Mind you I don't need too many excuses not to go near it - the water is bloomin freezing. I have cleared most of the beds ready for planting and sewn a few seeds, but I must s...

That's good news Demi - kids can be funny once they get a bee in their bonnet over something, mind you so can adults . Glad normal service is resumed though

Lovely wreath green pea.
I've often thought about drying oranges, but I never get round to doing it. I think it's all the other unfinished things I have to trip over on the way to the oven that stops me

Re: Help! 5 year old started pooing in her pants!
Hopefully she is on the road to recovery by now anyhoo, but just a thought for you. How about trying a toddler seat on the toilet, you could tell her it's 'magic' and takes the pain of pooping on the big toilet away, or using a potty again for a while telling her the same sort of thing. At least tha...

I think that what has already been said is very sensible advice  If you stay here then you give up your chance of ever being able to return to Oz, but if you move to Oz you still have the chance to move back. If your mother is declining in health then I think that if you didn't spend ti...

Re: how do I....save/provide even more for my children
That's a good point Niknik. Two of my children are very happy to have things passed down, to have charity shop toys or things that other kids wouldn't look twice at. My eldest is a different story however and it makes for some interesting 'debates' :cussing: :cussing: she wants this and she wants th...

Re: sorry. xmas. lol!!!
MrTwiglet and I are on a charity-shop challenge this year. Everything we buy each other MUST come from a charity shop, and the total cost must not exceed £15.00. I'm easy to buy for - anything kitsch that nobody else wants, beads that I can cut down and turn into new sets, scarves and scrap materia...

Soggy buttocks with cheerios on them is such a turn on though Jon, especially if you 'draw' rude pictures with them.

Ah poor Durgan - he must be getting a bit of a complex. Mind you, I did hear you can get rid of that by Juicing
