Re: Can I use tea tree spray antiseptic on animals?

Hello all! Don't often pop in but I wanted to jump in on this one. I'm a bit wary of tea tree, to be honest. Don't get me wrong: I use it neat on blemishes etc and it's very effective. I'm not sure it's terrible safe though - I read a medical paper years ago which thought it might be linked to femin...

Re: Sorrel

I think it's pretty darn common, yeah. The cultivars are apparently a bit more tender though, and I'm lazy as so they sound the easier option to cook ;)

Oh my goodness, this is even more exciting than I realized! I think I must be using the 'sludge' version at the moment - I'm really interested to see how different they look.

Ace. I'm going to hunt round for other recipes now...

Mark - seriously?! Do you mean you'll use the ginger beer plant to make the champagne? (Sorry: easily confused!)

I do that with bits of leftover soap - but I've never managed to get it the right consistency to work in the bottles! Maybe it's just fairy soap that's right for it? :? I generally use the resulting jelly-like mass for the washing machine. I think this is pretty common with the dissolving-bars-into...

Hello! I'm new here but stumbled on this thread. You could try using soapnuts as a decent shampoo. Theoretically you shove a handful of the nuts (say, 6-8) in a bit of water and boil it for anywhere between 10 and 20 minutes. You can then use the water as a shampoo (might be worth keeping it in the ...

Hello,

I know this is a bit of an old thread to bump, but are the ginger beer plants still on offer?

I bought a 'ginger beer plant' from the Kefir Shop, but I think it's the sludge one: I can't see any evidence of jelly crystals!
