Re: Hello I'm back!

I never ever forgot about you! Just got too busy with Uni to spend much time online. And I have to admit that I was heartbroken when my other half's ex boss effectively stole my Self Sufficient Ish Bible - she borrowed it then when he left the company she severed all ties with us (we used to be quit...

Re: OMG! Red Dwarf crochet!!!

I am totally in awe of your creative skills as usual Mrs Flibble! I've really missed seeing your creations. I should get myself back on Craftster too!

I bought a couple of books on amigurumi but have yet to master it.

Hello I'm back!

Hello all who remember me from last year! I disappeared from the radar because I started University last October as a mature student and my timetable is really really full (3.5 days a week - total contact time of 28 hours) with a lot of work to do at home too! My little one is now 2 yrs old and love...

We got 2lb of blackberries from a hedgerow the other week. They're in the freezer now, waiting for me to borrow the preserving pan from mum to make lots of yummy jam

Re: Should I shut the hens up?

We left the pop hole open last night & two girls chose to sleep outside - Clarabell behind the wheely bin & Chuck under the tin bath! I was really worried about them though and got up at 5.30am to check they were ok. They were fine and didn't even feel cold. Today we're going away to Shambal...

I only just managed to see the photo - last night it wasn't downloading. I think the winner is more than worthy, such a beautiful shot and very natural.

Re: We finally got a milk man.

Just placed my first order online for 3 pints of organic whole milk & a pack of organic cheese to be delivered next Tuesday (when we get back from Shambala festival!). If all goes well then I'll continue to place orders online

Yep, I used Soapnuts but they didn't get nappies clean nor my OH's work shirts :(

Re: nice washing tablets!

I've used the Simply washing tablets but they are really spensive! I get them from S@insburys if I'm in there & they are on offer (pretty infrequently then as we just realised we'd not been to S@insburys for 6 weeks now!). They didn't cause my OH's skin any probs but then I only ever use one tab...

Re: Hi from Sheffield

Hi Howie Welcome aboard! I used to live on the outskirts of Sheffield and still have links with the area. We haven't shopped at T3sc0 for about 3 years now, @sd@ for at least a year and we barely use supermarkets and try to make sure its Co-Op when we do. We cloth nappy too, I just love seeing the w...

Re: Cluckin' butchers!

Yes Ina you're right about Organic standards. Before we got our own hens we only bought Woodland free range eggs from S@insburys, where hens are able to forage & shelter under trees.
