Sorry but I have to disagree. Blackberries are one of those plants that absorb toxins at a very high level, so washing them won't get rid. All plants/trees vary in how much they absorb. If they are plump, pick 'em and put them in the freezer this works the same as a frost....

They tend to combine cross pollinators together( varieties that pollinate each other) They are really aimed at people with a small garden who can't fit in many trees.
Most (if not all) apples need a cross pollinators when you buy a tree there is a list of the cp's on the label.
