Re: children

they are an excellent excuse for being late. of course, 9 times out of 10 they are the actual reason you are late, which is why they are such a plausible excuse when its entirely your own faulty you couldn't be bothered to set the alarm!

Re: Where are all the ladybirds this year?

We too are having a nightmare with blackfly and the greenfly are particularly annoying - can't walk outside without getting covered in them! I haven't really noticed any ladybirds. Probably next year will be all ladybirds and no black/green fly!

Re: Gardening with small smalls - how do you do it??

We used a little popup travel cot quite successfully in the garden and on the beach. Was reallygood because it was so light and easy to carry but as soon as they can sit of propel themselves it was useless! Luckily ours was a borrow.

Didn't do the sink last night :( but did clean the fridge this morning :hello1:

We have guests this weekend. I find that a pretty good motivator, so long as they come at least once a month I find that helps a lot!

Re: Bit of an odd question....

If fact, looking back I see you're based in Bristol, you should seriously contact Forest of Avon! Can't remember the telephone number but the office is over the old stables at Ashton Court.

This lots seem to know their stuff: http://www.ancient-tree-hunt.org.uk/ Really like the idea of growing your own tree from seed muddywitch, local provenance is good stuff! When I was working for the Forest of Avon in Bristol a few years ago, BTCV was running a 'Tree life centre' I think they called...
