How Many of You Bring Half Your Garden Inside Over Winter?
For the first year I seem to have brought a large amount of my pots in this year, I have brought in my begonia, new guinea busy lizzie, ginger and a chilli plant, my house is starting to look like a summer garden. Is this normal?

Apple Brandy Emergency
I have started to make an apple brandy liqueur & found that the amount of Kilner Jar space it needs is more than I have so at the moment have most of the apples steeped in a sugar syrup solution with some brandy to preserve the apples that I have chopped. Can I drain one of my damson gin jars ov...

2016 was a bad year for me
I dare say 2016 hasn't been a barrel of laughs for most of us, with political unrest in the world, many famous people that we had admired/respected passing away. Last year was quite deathy in my family and because of pastoral inclinations kicked in to make sure everyone else was OK I seemed to have ...

Wooden Pallets
Are wooden pallets any good for making raised beds as I am looking at creating raised beds in Tetris shapes but want to keep the cost down. I dare say I would need to treat them if they are, but what would you say the best wood treatment would be for this scenario?

I got my sewing machine serviced today by my mother, it appears I hadn't been threading up my bobbin properly, so now I can start my Christmas projects.

Transporting a greenhouse
I have the offer of my dad's greenhouse but my other half doesn't want to transport it as he is scared he may break it, is there a professional lot who can do such a thing? We have tried googling it but to no avail.

Re: Seasons on your patch?
My patch is overgrown but have bid plans for it next year with Tetris shaped beds to satisfy our inner geekiness. Our land is quite exposed and relatively high up in our area so seasons start a little late. Just gettining ready for the final mow of the year.
