I have to admit that I still have my copy of the Hobbit from Primary school (That must be 1973/4) I "borrowed it" when I left.

Most of the books that I own (that I have bought) have been read multiple times. I always find something new that I have missed before.

The charity shops which used to have very good clothes and inexpensive prices are now selling trendy, cheap things at prices almost as high as the dep't store sales. It really takes looking and patience. It's also very difficult to find modest clothing. There is the same problem here with too many ...

I can only reply with my own experience from France, but our English Setter was bought from a hunter who bred. His advice was to get a thin branch from a tree or a willow withie and whack the dog once if he started to appear to be too interested in the chickens. We only had to do it a couple of time...
