If you are using an open fire then i would season the wood for 2 years. If a stove then a year is fine. Make sure the wood is chopped up and stacked with enough gaps for a draught to pass through. I have a load of wood shavings which i want to use for the wood burners. I was considering using the weak unibond idea and then compressing the wood shavings in blocks with my paper logs compression tool. Anyone tried this? They are a sod to dry out. An airing cupboard is handy. They are handy way to get re-use from newspapers. I get the neighbours to save all their papers for me. They kick out a surprising amount of heat. Very good value for money!!
