Re: My novel is on Amazon!

Well done you!

Stainsby festival is dear to my heart, having missed last year due to illness after 10 years of attending. Hubby and i even spent part of our honeymoon there

Re: ...stop mice from eating my sweet corn??

Thanks guys,

I'll try covering the next lot we sow. I don't really want to have them indoors as its hard to keep them out of harms way with two young uns running around the house.

...stop mice from eating my sweet corn??

I've never had this issue before, but we have definitely got mice in the garden somewhere as they already went through my seed box this winter. Re: Just agreed to buy first house!

Ahh! Nothing like buying your first house! We are still in ours - 10 years, a marriage and two kids down the line, it's high time we moved actually but the whole thought of getting it Market ready and looking for a new property fills me with dread. We'll have to move at some point as we're r...

Wow! Both me and the OH seriously need a new pair of specs and we were both cursing the sheer amount of money we would have to part with in one go, but, are we brave enough to try it online, pbf I'll be watching this space with interest! :cooldude:

Found this thread http://www.selfsufficientish.com/forum/ ... 12&t=12041 which I think pretty much answers my question.

I had a feeling it may have already been all said before elsewhere

Find out what to grow under plastic this winter?

By way of an explanation, lovely hubby who works for a scaffolding firm furnished me with all the necessary equipment to build a pole and hoop type net frame to protect my greens from the ever present butterflies. Now that the broccoli is almost on it's last legs I'm soon to be pulling ...

Lovely isn't it!? I stumbled across his site a while back and occasionally drift off into fantasies involving living somewhere like that. Just be nice to have the land to do it on first though!

Re: Flu jab during pregnancy

Many congratulations!!! I had my flu jab when I was pregnant and it had no adverse effects on me :geek: and considering I have since discovered I have a heart condition I'm glad I did it as I'm one of those folks with "underlying health issues". I also work in a high risk area adult day se...
