Re: Dried Elderflowers for Champagne - yeast?

I'm sure I read somewhere once about which sugars were fermentable and which were not... never made the connection with EC at the time... any biochemists on here? I presume also that if these recipes do indeed work, (and I have seen many like ...

Re: Aerogel
yes - VERY expensive... the wikipedia article gives some idea of the production process - doesn't look particularly poisonous... Aspen Aerogels is the US trade name that comes up from googling. I am at a loss to understand why shedloads of research isn't going into bringing the price of this stuff d...

Has anyone got any experiences, good or bad, with aerogel insulation in the UK? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aerogel I am interested in finding a polycarbonate (?) greenhouse/conservatory roof material with aerogel as the "meat in the sandwich"... to get transparency with insulation. I can...

I have been looking in to solar power lately, is it something i can DIY? Any of you built a solar panal? dose it work? how hard was it? Eve Yes I have built my own 36-cell (crystalline) solar panel.
