Re: Things to aid recovery / healing after an operation?

Arnica is amazing for bruising/swelling. I used it after giving birth and I was really mobile afterwards.

Could also be a thing about the dryness of the tampon and how it makes your body feel. On the very very rare occaions since i've had my cup that i've used a tampon, i've had worse period pains, and find that the tampon comes out almost dry, even though its at a point that the cup would be overflowi...

Re: Banish Plastic

I totally understand the problem too. Particularly with soap. It does something to the wrapping causing it to split and look a bit battered doesnt it? I have had black soap in the past that has had this problem. Its just a shame there isnt a reasonable alternative for us small businesses to use.

Re: women's health again; menstrual stuff...

There would be no reason why a cup would interfere with your flow in any way as just collects it rather than absorbs it. I suspect that your body was reacting to the contents of the tampon, maybe the gel or chlorine. Although its worn internally, that is the only similarity between cup and tampon.

Re: Banish Plastic

My husband was in Germany with work last week and while in the supermarket noticed there was a special area set aside where you could remove any packaging you though excessive and leave it there. The Supermarket then gets charged for the amount of waste it produces so it really works. We are so far ...

Re: Soap Nuts - tried and tested - and verdicts?

Great to see some more fans of soap nuts here! I've been using for a while and think they are excellent. Here I've copied some info off my website about what you can do with the shells once they have been through the wash a few times; Before adding to compost heap, shells can be used to make liquid ...
