I'm a Drop Spindle spinner (along w/ a Great/Walking wheel) Spinning in the grease is an "ok" thing to do, but at some point you will want to "de-grease" your wool. I find clean wool is much easier to work with. It isn't a bad process to wash raw wool. Here are a few links to get...

when the bubbleing in the airlock finally stops. Don't be afraid to rack you wine a few times, and make sure it is clear. Gravity is the best thing for that.

one last reminder... an Angora Goat, produces "Mohair" . and Angora Rabbit produces "Angora Wool"
Cashmier is a wool type, it can come from many breeds of sheep/goats...

I have to say rabbits. We have a buck Flemish Giant that is a watch guard rabbit when he's in the yard. He plays tag with the kids, & even will play soccer with them ... They can sence when you are up or down, and do react to it ... trying to be funny to keep you up. They are great cuddelers too...

Chinchilla is its own animal. Member of the Rodent family, closely related to rabbits, but they're a different species. Yes, it is it's own animal, BUT... rabbit breeders, except for Flemish Giant breeders, call their Light Gray rabbits "Chinchillia" colored. In a Flemish it IS Light Gray...
