Favourite essential oil

What's everyone's favourite essential oil/ blend for fragrance use around the house? I don't know mine because I haven't tried enough yet!

I don't know if this has already been said, because I've only just read it, but well done MKG on the article on the main page! Very well written and an enjoyable read

How to end a friendship?

I've grown apart from an old friend. We don't have a lot in common anymore and I feel like I'm making all the effort. She's always been quite selfish and I don't think she actually realises that she is (i.e. if we're not in contact for a while it's always me that's in the wrong because she can't see...

Re: My partial solution to container gardening

Great, I have some of those bags that I mistakenly bought and never use because I prefer fabric ones. I've seen people use all sorts of plastic sacks, etc but hadn't thought about the UV stability, does anyone know?

Re: Non Christmas

I'm a Christian and Easter is more important to me, but Christmas day will be church, a few pressies and meal with family, no ARGOSMUS for us  I respect that that's what makes some people happy, but I like to keep it simple. I'd love to hear more about Pagan traditions as I've got such respect ...

Do you get called eccentric?

I'm not sure whether to take it as an insult or compliment! Is wanting to be more self sufficient and actually thinking about things eccentric?

Re: Well it had to happen

It's an odd thing wanting to be vegetarian and yet have meals that look like meat and two veg. I disagree, I like allsorts of things, I like meat alternatives sometimes as well as lentils, beans, etc. I like veggie sausage rolls, yum yum! Anyone fancy a very nice shepherd's pie using lentils? Or on...

Alternatives to Christmas trees?

I love having a tree in a pot, but is anyone having something instead of a Christmas tree this year? Like a foliage display, etc?

Re: Want to leave teaching and don't know what to do

Of course we don't think you're moaning, teaching is a difficult profession. If it isn't just a bad few days, I would look at your finances and work out how much you need to earn to be comfortable, then start thinking about jobs you might prefer. Which I understand is really hard and can take a long...

Re: Would you kick up a fuss?

That's such a shame that's happened, I hope he isn't upset. You did the right thing by reporting it, but personally I would leave it now. Just because I find it better to move on, and also I wouldn't want to cause any embarrassment for my child (if it was me). :hugish:

Re: eBooks - yes or no?

I joined the Daily lit site - I find it very useful as I can access many books and can read books that I may not otherwise have heard of or have access to. It's also good because it breaks the books down into parts that can be read in just a few minutes and if you want more you can ask for it. It's...

eBooks - yes or no?

I've never read an e book as I've had plenty of real-life books to read, but I'm wondering whether you like them or not? On one hand, no physical book left over to deal with, less physical resources used, but then on the other hand, less physical books to give to friends and charity shops!
