Is my chutney still safe?

I made several jars of lovely beetroot chutney on 6th September. I sterilised the jars in the oven first and boiled the lids, and washed my ladle and funnel in very hot water. I ate a couple of jars straight away, the rest have been stored at room temperature ever since. I've come to open a new jar ...

Thanks guys. I'm not sure that 'mattress medic' would help my particular problem, but it does give me another idea: how about a good quality airbed? 90% is air - can't get much greener than that! It uses a minimal amount of material (mostly heavy duty PVC), and an airbed would never sag or get lumpy...

Our expensive orthopaedic mattress has had it after 7 years - it's saggy and lumpy and causing me a lot of aches and pains. We tried to revive it with a lovely feather mattress-topper but sadly it seems it's beyond reviving. Seems to me modern sprung mattresses are highly over-engineered, overpriced...

Hey Smokehouse - that's my dream too. Ideally we'd like to have a small eco-campsite to keep some money coming in and educate people while they stay as well! Lots of saving to do before we can buy land though :(
