ive got two cats like that, you are lucky, rabbits will munch everything in their sights, dont worry bout it, while they look cute, they are pests

hi contadino, yes i got ross cobbs, they grow at some speed, they were 5 weeks old yesterday, will be sharpening the knife soon, looking forward to home grown chicken !!

hi cottage garden farmer, thats very helpful its the first time that i have kept them so its all new to me, but its great to get info off other people, gettin to know what im doin right and wrong, will be following your blog from now on, a big thank you from me....

back again for more info, my chicks are 4 weeks old now, still in the shed with heatlamp, when can they be moved to hen house in the garden,they r increasing in size very fast now, cheers, shamie !!

id say try all of them, if the sheep dont like them they will leave them behind, for a dumb animal they r smart when they need to be !

thanks julie, i wud b interested in talking to u bout d hens, i havent a clue, and ive gone to a few of the sunday poultry sales, but thought that not all the sellers were 100% trustworthy, wud like to get gud layers, but also like to have a flock that would be nice to look at, maybe 3 or 4 differen...

thanks for all the advice,what i meant by it paying itself off was, how long before i could save myself the price of it by growing say for instance tomatoes, we spend maybe 4 euros a wk on them, a couple of euro on lettuce,etc,etc, it wud make my growing season longer for certain veg and so wud not ...

paul,sorry u didnt have a good experiance in ireland, but its a bit harsh tarring everyone wit the same brush, i think u will find greedy people anywhere u go, well mw, have u narrowed down your search yet

hi, am considering buying a polytunnel, wil have to spend about a thousand euro to get a decent one,supposing that it is used to full potential, how long wud it take to pay itself off ?

thanks lads,was thinkin dat i wud keep them free range and maybe organic as well, figured that it wud cost much more than supermarket chickens, but have heard that the difference in taste is unbelieveable !!!
