1 small step!

I've had 1/2 an allotment for 2 years now. I've got all my veg beds in production 16 for rotational veg and 1 for asparagus. Also got compost bin, leaf mould cage and a trained cherry tree. I got a book as a present for doing someones fence it was a river cottage handbook on making bread. still waiting for mine. Do the "sprouts" come from a 45 deg angle between a leaf and the stem (like the bits you pinch off a tomato plant) because if they do it wont be long!!

Funny I've just been sieving my first batch of homemade compost today, and I thought to myself this is so good it could be used as potting compost. Ive sown and planted out Broad bean Aquadulce, pea little marvel and sweet pea old fassioned mix. More peas, broad beans and some cauliflowers will be sown at the weekend.

I have recently started buying gardening mags, first Grow your own then kitchen gardener the home farmer. I like home farmer and kitchen gardener but think i will ditch GYO.
