Re: 'A slice of quiche? I'll need to see some ID.. '‏

Our local Morrison's was caught recently in an under-age booze-buying sting. For a few weeks afterwards they asked everybody their age. I quite enjoyed being asked if I was over eighteen - I'm fifty five. I'm going to embarass my man for a bit. Because, to be fair, men can look WAY older than they ...

Re: extra bits in magazines

It bugs me so much. I wouldn't mind so much if it was compostible but it's glossy shiny stuff I can't do ANYTHING with... and like the original post said, the inside is filled with composting tips and how to reduce rubbish articles! I know the mag needs to pay for it's distribution, but you'd think ...

Re: One bin, one year, one family. Hooray.

I wasn't trying to stop discussion. If I was, I went about it the entirely wrong way - by diuscussing things! The thing is, I am far from perfect and I get a lot of flack from both sides from what I do. I had an ex that would verbally abuse me for not knowing how to recycle properly (I came fr...

Re: Pocket money for a 9 year old

Hm... I'm all for the 'make 'em work for it'. A couple of nine year olds I know make pocket money by collecting and selling their own chook eggs. They did well with their little egg business too.

Re: Hello from Australia! :)

Hi there, have you been frequenting reverse garbage? I am jealous of your chook pen as mine hasn't got off the ground yet... our tip shop has closed:( I will keep an eye out for you on Aussies Living Simply! Yep! I made my entire chook pen (cept the chicken wire) from reverse garbage for around $35...

I wasn't referring to any person in particular, just the general theme of this thread.

Re: THE PURPLE IS HERE!!! EEEEEEK! Now.. organizing?

I found these little tiny 36 page photo albums at the market for $3, so I bought those to organize my seeds. I bought two, one for heat and one for cold (because, really, this is SEQLD, do I need seasons?)... and organized all my seeds. I planted a whole bunch and used some plastic chopsticks I had ...

Re: One bin, one year, one family. Hooray.

Are the same people posting in this thread about how the family isn't perfect also the same ones who posted in the 'in what ways are you naughty' thread? I think so!! We all have our vices, we all have our desires and wants. Some of us can curb them as much as possible and some of us can find ways t...

Re: 'A slice of quiche? I'll need to see some ID.. '‏

That's hilarious, I frequently have to ask for ID where I work and the abuse I get sometimes is unreal. I can't imagine having the balls to ask for ID for a peice of quiche.                 I WISH I was carded. Ho...

Who on earth goes to the news when they're carded for quiche by some teenager?

Methinks it's just some thirty year old lady's chance to brag. Look, I look 21!

Turkey hens are notoriously terrible mothers. Make sure you give the egg to a brooding chook... the chook will accept her ugly baby as her own. :hugish:

Holy hell, booze fairy! You're as psychotic with your seeds as I am with my pantry. It's actually inspiring to the over organized OCD side of me. I don't know if it's healthy or not, but I love being psychotically organized too. I might take your advice entirely and be as retentive as you are!
