Re: Recession?What recession???

You have my sympathies, I've just spent 3 days dealing with a national chain to replace one of my son's toys which cost over £100 and broke within 6 months (not wear and tear as suggested by one rude sales person who hadn't even seen said toy!) It's a good feeling when you "win" though (a...

Re: Jubilee

We admire the Queen and her family. Watched the tv yesterday and loved every minute of the boats going up the Thames. Just watched the concert and thoroughly enjoyed it. We are more than willing to pay the few quid it costs us to keep the Royals.

Re: Killed my Rudbeckia???

Hi we have a beautiful perennial Rudbeckia which has survived Lincolnshire winters which have been pretty severe of late. We grow a lot of perennials, when we lived further South I used to cut back the majority of the plants in the Autumn. However, here I do the cutting back in early Spring as soon ...

Re: "Can we talk" about

Excuse me. pardon me, Pagan chaplain coming through, I would hope that religion & science will not bicker about the fundamental meaning of life as neither side has the answer just as much as we don't know why we are here, I know why I'm here  ................my parents had a bonk in 19...
