However... I was wondering about where to get ingredients and jars and bottles and stuff from. I don't w...

Oh, I love Stamford and Newark too. I used to live in between Grantham and Newark, and used to love going into Newark on the bus. Mostly because I went to school in Grantham...and it was a bit of a dive!

Re: the results of my cat poo studies...
My hubby and I have just had a bloody good laugh at this. Sorry, I shouldn't laugh at someone's misfortune, and I feel for you, I really do... but they way it was written was really funny! Re: Rainbow patchwork skirt
That is totally fabulous! Very inspiring... I have a humungous stash of fabric (and wool come to that... oh, and embroidery silks... ummm can you see a pattern forming here?! LOL!) and I think some of it might be used on a skirt like that... except longer...because I don't want to scare the natives!...

I reside in Kirkby in Ashfield, and hubby was born and bred here, but I am more of a gypsy and don't really come from anywhere!! Becks77, I was singing at Southwell Minster last Saturday. Southwell is a go...

Hello! I'm a newbie!
Just found this rather wonderful place whilst doing a search for self-sufficiency. It is something I have been interested in for ages and ages (as a rather overfull bookshelf full of books testifies!) and hubby and I are making an effort to become more self-sufficient. I look forward to seeing you a...
