Is it true that chickens that are over a year old need 14 hours daylight to resume laying or is it less? We're not early risers, so ours get let out at 7.30, but it's clearly light at six, we have a window in the coop that is blocked for warmth in the winter, but I'm wondering if we unblocked it and...

I think wild garlic probably will make the eggs slightly garlicky, we sometimes add garlic to drinking water as a natural antibacterial and that flavours the eggs slightly.

What about stopping 'normal' TV and just using BBC iplayer and maybe 4OD that way you watch the good programmes when you want without the mindless channel surfing that lots of people do. We've got a teen and it works for us.
