No point me doing that where I live, as it would still be there years later...actually, some stuff still is! I live miles from the main road on farmland so at least my stuff's safe

Wow, they're pretty!
I could certainly give a few a try, the biggest ones would be best, any side.
I should imagine if there's any craft oriented people on here they may be interested too!
Cheers

Thanks for that, much appreciated. I will have to have a chat with Ironworker too, as I would love to try making the arrowheads myself one day rather than having to buy them.

Yes, I did put an advert on there too. If you've got some spare that would be most appreciated.
If you let me know how much you want for them/P&P I can send you some money through, thanks.

Firstly, you're very likely to be paying over the odds for the wood buying it at B&Q. Have you not got a local sawmill or builders merchant? Our local builders merchant has the facility to set up a free account for you and then will deliver to your house for free where I cut it to whatever sides...

As long as the feathers used on each arrow are from the same wing it's OK, if you mix them the arrow will probably fly off at a weird angle and impale something!
The feathers are usually obvious that they are from the same side in the way they're formed.

Feathers - still wanted

I'm still on the look out for some feathers for making longbow arrows. Preferably goose feathers, although any good size ones will be worth trying.

I will happily pay for P&P if you have a few spare around.

I made this mistake last year with the perry I was making. Did everything as perry,(it's harder to make good perry than cider due to the tannin levels ,natural yeasts etc) except when I went to get my yeast I forgot you're meant to use a beer yeast not a wine. I wondered why I was pissed on half a ...

I'm afraid I've had to buy some recently as my 5 bins are still 'working' although I always buy the peat free ones. However, our council have some fantastic Waste Buster facilities set up at their recyling areas, and compost is now also supplied that they make from the materials brought in. Maybe yo...
