Hia,I used my nettle and seaweed concoction last nite and i was nearly retching the smell was so bad !!!! Another allotment holder told me he thought the farmers nearby were muck-spreading! Have used it before and it seems to do the world of good,so hold your nose and go for it ! x

Re: An entire meal from the garden.

Well done you, sounds lovely.Hopefully will be doing the same in a couple of weeks (apart from the pigeon). We've had a lot of cold windy weather here in Pembrokeshire,so most things on my allotment are sulking.

best recipe?

What's the best recipe you've devised using your home - grown produce? Having a glut of a particular fruit or vegetable often calls for us all to be a bit more creative in the kitchen. Mine is rhubarb, honey and orange ice-cream. Yum

Re: What a day!

Poor you,it's awful that your line manager can get away with treating you like that. My best antidote to an awful day is to take a flask of very good coffee to my allotment, sit and listen to the birds for a while, then find a patch and do some serious digging over. It really gets rid of frustration x
