mint jelly you need to make a apple jelly then add chopped mint close to the end chop apples skin seeds cores the lot cover with water simmer for 1 hour drain though jelly bag add 1 kg sugar to every 1 litre a always put in some vingar to boil to seting point add chopped mint that how my mum showed ...

i drink herb teas fresh herbs in the summer than dry the herbs for the winter
rose hip tea made from pick hips i dry out
flower teas, lavender , elderflower, rose
and not forgetting nettles

salt kills yeast
but dose strenghth the glutin in flour which makes it rise better and keep it shape
but it is not needed

follow a no/very low salt diet my self
was very hard for the first few weeks
added loads of spices and herbs to every thing
but now do not miss salt at all and anything with salt in it now taste very salty
my to boys did not even notice i stop useing it

runner beans, French beans, broad beans, 2nd crop of beetroot , all sort of lettuce, mangetout, carrots,raddish, basil, corrindera, loads of other herbs, the last of me cherries and strawberries, my first huckleberry only the one, ans the first of me wine berries yummy
