We're thinking about getting a small flock for our tiny little place too. The first thing we did after deciding we wanted to go ahead with it was check with the council, next thing we talked with the neighbours to be sure they were comfortable with the thought of 3 or 4 hens clucking in our back gar...

Also try crochet on about.com for free patterns, and I think there is a conversion chart from US to UK/Continental stitching on one of her pages there, too.

Oh I wish I was rich...I'm a fabric-aholic too. We are spoilt on Leicester market with several good fabric stalls. Hence I try not to go there too often; the overdraft would creak! I also haunt the £1 rail in my local charity shops for items to up-cycle. Looking foeward to the pics Flibsey :iconbig...

This kind of thing goes on a lot in the 'land of the free'. Yes it does. I'm a USC married to a UKC, we live in Angus. I was in the US this past spring waiting for my spousal visa to be determined and while I was there I was sorry to see that even with the economic troubles neighbourhood Home Owner...
