Re: Estate Agents

Thank you. If nothing else this website has a list of suggestions and a clear process to follow. I've been told something like this was out there but I never know what exactly to go for and what to ignore. I'm a bit weary of believing everything I see online!

Estate Agents

I'm looking for quite specific help if anyone can offer it. We recently left a house we were renting. It was owned by a private landlord and all our dealings went through an estate agent. All the dealings are legal, we've paid all our rent, not done anything wrong etc etc - nothing dodgey going on! ...

Re: Potty pause ( Elimination Communication )

My youngest also managed to think of going to the towel for a wee without any assistance, I think I was too concerned with getting the potty there instead and I put him off a bit. My thinking now is it's never too late to start so I'm going back to what I ought to have done months and months ago and...

Re: Potty pause ( Elimination Communication )

I really haven't put as much effort in as I ought to have/wanted to. My son is now 21 months and is not yet potty trained but does tell me when he's done a poo and knows what the potty is for and sometimes makes it there for his wees. We made the same noise every time he did a wee so he's associate ...

Re: Potty pause ( Elimination Communication )

I wish I had more time to reply properly. I've done a similar thing with my youngest - 21 months - and he's doing well with his potty. When I can I will explain properly. But it sounds like your son is doing really well!

Re: Please help with a horse

Soo sorry, we've not had the internet and home and I've been poorly so that's why I've not bene on here for ages. I think that I would offer to do it again as I feel that new experiences are good and learning isn't that bad either and I need more time to really put into practice the advice I was giv...

Re: Please help with a horse

I don't know her breed. She's a big pony/small horse if that helps?! Her coat is thin, clearly been trimmed, I've no idea about her skin. I thought the same as what you were saying so I've tried to be gentle with brushing her and tried to cover her back and sides, and legs if I feel brave but she cl...

Re: Please help with a horse

Yes that's great, thanks. I will def try and keep a hand on her when I'm in the stable. And staying close to her if I have to go behind is something I didn't know but now makes perfect sense! She is alone in the stable and in the field. I know she gets lonely but there's another horse coming to keep...

Re: Please help with a horse

Thank you. I'v been waiting for you reply specifically as I knew you knew about horses! I thought maybe today I'd try and bring her in during the day. A few days break from handling her and I thought I'd be better if I do it in the daylight rather than in the dark. I was thinking about 3pm. I know t...

Re: Please help with a horse

Thank you. You seem to have the same opinions as me so I'm at least reassured that I haven't totally got it all wrong! I think she'll manage for a few days if I do my best. She's fed twice a day and on quite a lot as we don't want her to lose weight over the winter. Her stable is across the road for...

Please help with a horse

I'm looking after my friends horse while she is away. I started on Saturday morning and she is back this saturday coming. All has been OK but I'm now pretty nervous of the horse and she knows this. She's on her field tonight with an outdoor rug on and one underneath. It feels quite mild at the momen...

Re: how do I....save/provide even more for my children

This is fab for children's activities. I've already done some with my 4 year old and we loved them. I tweaked some for our needs but I'm sure you can work out what you want/don't want! http://pinterest.com/claire_haslam/free-learning/ I have a green cleaning book where you can make most households c...

Re: Grapefruit might be bad for you if on prescription meds.

I knew grapefruit can reduce the effectiveness of the contraceptive pill. Something which I don't think you are routinely told when you start taking it but seems important to me!

Beer

My husband is going to be brewing some beer, well Ale - is it the same?

We are confused as to what sort of bottles we'll need. Can we use any? We've got some swing top, we've got plenty of screwcap wine bottles - or do we need proper beer bottles?
