That would be brilliant.
I made the Westcott Schnapps about 30 years ago when I first got into brewing..
BUT, family & work meant it had to take a back seat.
Now that I'm ever closer to retirement age (retire, HAH!!) I'm getting back into it.

Re: What i'm brewing at the moment
We've got orange on the go and I just put parsnip wine in the demi-john today. Got a long list of more to make :drunken:  Gosh, that reminds me....MANY, MANY years ago I did a wine using parsnips and (orange)??? It's name was Westcott Schnapps I think. It had a HELLUVA punch. Anyone got any re...

Re: What i'm brewing at the moment
One gallon of fruit teabag, but this time with a litre of supermarket grape juice thrown in as well, which may or may not turn it into something a little better. One gallon of supermarket apple juice wine (not merely supermarket, but past-its-sell-by-date apple juice at a pound for 5 litres). We'll...

Re: Anyone tried this method?
Just got back after being away this weekend. Went up to check the wine and the second batch I put on (12th Jan) must've had a growth spurt :? From normal fermenting when I left it on Friday it appears to have frothed into the bubbler :dontknow: It's still bubbling at a reasonable rate of knots :icon...

Re: Help with gout pleeeeease
Strange, I was just about to post on a similar(ish) topic. I've a friend whose hubby has gout, tried everything with minimal success. She heard about celery seed tablets and tried them. They seem to have worked better than other remedies. As a side line they've also relieved, again, more than other ...

Re: Anyone tried this method?
Forgot to mention...
In my first batch of MKGs brew, I forgot the lemon juice
Will it make any difference.
Today, 11 days on, the brew is still bubbling at 1 bloop/4 seconds !!

Re: Anyone tried this method?
Yup,
I've given up on the homeboozekit method. Unstable just doesn't quite do it justice!!
I've found a couple of different methods of usinf fruit juice for a quick wine.
I'm just SO impatient for last summers wines to be drinkable... I need alcohol NOW
