Re: anyone else found this funny??? only me????
I knew who it was immediately so have had a giggle reading this. I also laughed at 'him' being called a 'guy' because I think the fluffy ones are all ewes. Anyway, you couldn't look cute and fluffy like that and be male. Woah! is it only the females that get fluffy and have to b...

Re: Post Viral Fatigue ? is there life after ? how....
I had glandular fever a few years ago, so I hope I have a vague idea of what youre going through - doctors were as usual rubbish and told me 'i might have glandular fever' Nevertheless I found the best thing was to rest, I know it sounds hard (especially as you usually do so much) but unfortunately ...

Re: Living in a Sustainable House?
ahh thats brilliant, thanks Demi. I dont want to put words in your mouth, so what would you say was the main reason for moving there - was it to become self sufficient? Also the link between the house and your behaviours, would you say the house has facilitated your sustainable behaviours? (ie has i...

Re: Little things that really annoy you!
You think not, MSM? Try these current UK youth words ... Wagwan - what's going on Gyaldem - group of girls Skeng - a knife Showa - something good Shan - unfair Peng - looking good I can see how the first one works. After that, I'm struggling. Mike And I thought I was a youth - I have literally neve...

Re: jets and the jetstream
I get it dave, Its not that I get angry at people that dont think climate change is happening - I understand that people generally like proof before they will change their opinions, but it sometimes concerns me that what if getting proof will take too long, or will be too expensive (when we could de...

Re: Living in a Sustainable House?
Sorry for being a bit vague - I was trying to invite discussion without getting too involved. But youre right Zech, I do need to explain some bits! A discussion (by anyone) of what or how they would define a 'sustainable house' would be really useful! I suppose that Im using quite a lax definition o...

Living in a Sustainable House?
Hey All! Im currently doing my masters dissertation at Cardiff University (my course was on sustainability), and my dissertation is about sustainable/eco houses. What Im looking to find out is why people choose to live in a sustainable house and how it then affects their behaviours. It would be real...

Re: Little things that really annoy you!
Now I'm in a really happy mood, but I can definitely think of some things that wind me up - and obviously reading through a few pages has reminded me of others! 1. people who dont indicate - so im a mind-reader am i? 2. people who dont thank me when ive clearly pulled over and stopped so they can ge...

Re: jets and the jetstream
yup I agree, during my uni course I even found a journal stating that its the jetstream thats being messed up - so there is even some scientific evidence out there to back it up. from what I gather, lots of people only focus on 'global warming' which as you say isnt necessarily the case.. its all ab...

Re: Homemade cat food
I had no idea that a standard tin had that little meat in! I am definitely going to be checking what our cats eat.. it sounds all wrong Although our cats do seem to catch a lot of small rodents/rabbits/birds so they probably make up for it in other ways. Dont quote me on this, but I heard that if an...

Re: Wind turbines on your door step?
I totally agree. Windturbines seem like a good idea in theory, and I read that they dont affect birds nearly as much as some people say.. Obviously I support renewable energy, but there is always a bit of doubt when its close to home - I reckon even the best of us are prone to a bit of NIMBYism now ...
