hi dj,

what type of pot do you have now?
i would have thought the bird mesh cowl would have done if you could bet it ti fit to your chimney as thats what they put on top flue lining,if you cant find the answer on here try "the green living forum"lots of info on installing stoves ect.

looking for information on locating good second hand deep cycle batteries, i know this is going to sound stupid but, ive heard/read ups batteries are good/cheap,BUT are these ups/uninterruptible power supply batteries or used batteries from ups the courier ? this part has never being made clear when...

hi guys and thanks for your valid points, first of all i think i should apolagize for not explaining the situation from the beginning, when we bought the house theives had broken in,they had nicked the generator,battery bank,central heating system and anything else they could lay their hands on,also...

that is the fire place,its an open fire with a cast iron grate.as for a chimney sweep i intend doing it myself first im going to give it a good clean then get the camera down from the top just to see if there are any cracks in the liner or much missing from the joints.
