Any commercial interest has your MONEY at heart NOT you. Do not use loyalty cards as they can then track your habits (good and bad)!

Is it OK to bung all my white, black and red currants together as I only have small bushes?

Re: Granola bars from packet granola?

Well, I have made them and stick together fairly well. They are a bit floury and I'm wondering why. Would an egg in the mix help? This is what I did:

500g packet granola
1 1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup ground almond
1/2 cup soft brown sugar
6oz unsalted butter
1/2 cup apple juice

Thanks.

Re: Granola bars from packet granola?

Thanks for that. Given that my Granola already has the nuts and fruit I guess I need the flour, sugar or honey and butter and the water added to make into the gluey mess consistency. What do you think of that for starters? Would the almond or coconut be alternatives to flour or as well as? Thanks.

Granola bars from packet granola?

I have bought from lidl Simply Scrumptious Granola cereal. It is 475cal per 100gm. I want to turn this into granola bars cooked in oven. I think I could get about 20 bars giving say 120cal per bar plus whatever it takes to glue it together. Any suggestions for a recipe welcome. Thanks.

Re: Stringless runner beans?

Thanks for your feedback. I do like the teasing banter! In fact I have 52 canes and just under 60 plants of which about 15 are stringless but I correct myself as they are what someone called "French climbers". I have picked the first few at 15cm and will cook them later. I usually freeze a...

Battling to prevent butterflies

Is a 7mm x 5mm net sufficient? Last year I used 7mm square net and they got through with a struggle. Even t,bough I diligently squashed the eggs etc. the crop was still damaged. Thanks.
