Re: Ultimate automation

It is a nice project, it has moved along a lot since I first saw it. I was also of the 'too much tech' frame of mind but since then I have been help manage a gardening project with 2 very large pollytunnels. http://polbethandwestcaldergarden.weebly.com/index.html This kit would be lovely in one of t...

Re: Language etc.

I mainly use metric but for gardening I seem to use imperial. I was taught metric at school but all the teachers thought in imperial. I am part of a large community garden/woodland project and most of the volunteers are older than me so I have had to switch over to imperial. Much of the measurements...

Yep that's pretty much what I was thinking. Know any good suppliers please?
I have heard good reports from http://www.bimblesolar.com/ some boat dwellers and Bus dwellers I know have used them.
The 12v kits might be what you are after for a small system to learn on.

Re: I'm Back Too - and I have LAND!!!

OK, sold - bigger one it is then :-) very glad you have come round, I was given a pollytunnel early last year (well, by given I mean given the rights to dig it out of a wet field) it was 10x25 foot long but I only had space for 15 foot at the time, I have now re-engineered the gardens steps and put...

Re: Cleaning a polytunnel ?

I have seen some advertised that have a "Extension Lance" but it does not say how long. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Greenkey-Garden-Pressure-Sprayer-Extension/dp/B00BK2AIGS or this one, then make the brass section much much longer. http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00X2LBV70?psc=1 It is still a big job, favou...

Re: Cleaning a polytunnel ?

I use http://algonorganics.co.uk/ and it is great.

I use a pump action spray bottle to apply it, I use it for pollytunnels, the old caravan, the path and anywhere else that goes green!
