Re: Hi from Anglesey

Hi! Welcome. I used to love it here years ago but it's gone a bit quiet. Perhaps we can do something about that? :) I see you are from Anglesey, one of my best and favourite places in the world. So much peace there. We come every year. Anyway, welcome :)

MMM About half of the plots are taking shape... ours has a shed, two compost bins, my son's raised bed is dug and ready, the fruit is planted, one of the 8x2m beds is completely done, another half done and the last one untouched as yet. Yesterday we had to go up and re-felt the shed because the high...

Opinions on vets

I've read a few message on here about livestock and there seems to be a lot of recommendations not to take your animal to a vet if it's suffering. I wonder what your opinion is of your vet?

Re: Vegetables in boggy ground

We're surrounded by water, and the river seems to "visit" a couple of times a year. So we have a pretty damp garden. However, I have grown a variety of stuff - rhubarb/courgettes/beans/peas - general stuff successfully. Give it a try and grow what you like to eat. I would invest in some gr...

Re: CATS!!

I prefer cats to having rats on my patch!

I have four cats (and no close neighbours) - and three dogs - they don't really trouble my patch. Are you sure you don't have cat nip growing there?

Re: Diabetes

Thanks to all of you - I haven't checked here for a while (had a big operation recently).... Yep, my nurse even said - have a bowl of cereal before bed time!!! Arghhh... I limit my carbs (i.e. pots, rice, pasta, etc...) and I have stayed medication free for my first year (I am type 2)... which is OK!
