The annoying thing seems to be that old varietys of wheat are being being removed from national lists so you cant get the seed .
maris huntsman and maris wigeon are off the list they were the only wheat suitable for thatching on the national list as well .

well just doing a search on the internet turned up a guy on sythes mentioning the shop by that name so there are two of us who remember it .
we used to do trips to wells just to go to that shop it really was great

There used to be a shop in wells that sold stuff for smallholders Im not sure of its name but it was very well known , anyway the shop closed down not sure if they moved or went mail order or gave up. you can get lots of types of needles for singers on ebay or try http://www.needlebar.org/
some of the singer new family type its hard to get needles for but most of the ones you come across it isnt that hard .

if you attended the public meeting at the end of big green you will know that the local police and council have brought the big green close to being bankrupt .
