it's tough to price things when you have so many factors to take into consideration, i sell hand made jewellery at craft fairs.. there was a lady at the last one who got old quilt covers really cheaply, cut them into inch wide strips and then crocheted bags from them charging £10 each.

i made elderberrie and apple jam last year. i was hoping to make both elderflower drink of some sort and then jam again but hubby decided to help with the gardening and took out half the bush.. so at the mo i'm just hoping i have enough to make anything! lol

ours is about 7ft tall and has survived several attempts by hubby at "trimming it" he's not a gardener so butchering is a better word for what he does as well as the last 3 yrs of snow.

:oops: So i'm going to reveal my lack of knowledge here.. my gardener friend was over yesterday helping me tackle my flower beds and putting in a new one and pointed out that one of the bushes in my garden is infact a bay tree. it's about 6ft tall. :shock: I know that people use the leafs in cooking...
