Seriously, I can't take it. I'm looking forward to a few weeks holiday of welsh drizzle in July. Don't you dare have a heat wave!

Hello lovelies, it's been a while... Used to post here a lot but had a few years sabbatical in Wales. We're now back up the mountain Spain and we're staying. Roots down. So hello again to anyone who remembers me and hello to those who don't. Hope you're having a good Sunday, I'm hiding from the sun ...

Re: .....find the best utility companies?
I AM GOING CRAZY NOW!!! HELP! I´ve managed to sort out my broadband but the electricity is driving me nuts, every site offers a different estimated usage (of which i have no idea, because the house hasn´t been lived in for some time, and i´ve been off-grid for years) varying from 300 - 1200 quid!! i...

Re: .....find the best utility companies?
I´m just starting to engage with this...all previous agreements have been severed and I don´t know who they were with. Trying to work out what would be the best deal seems like some sort of black art. I have another question....looking at broadband deals, do I also have to pay a line rental on top? ...

Re: Butter free cakes
Does it have to be vegan? If it´s just butter-free, then I´m pretty sure I have something with eggs, flour and sugar, an italian recipe, that I usually drizzle with lemon syrup

Re: ...get a green night's sleep?
I think the problem in the UK is that even if you buy an organic mattress it will still have been sprayed with flame retardants, which are deeply nasty indeed :pale: for the environment and yourself. I'd love to be proven wrong about this as I'm leaving my Spanish Ikea organic mattress here when I m...

Re: Baby slings.
Babies are born to be worn! IMHO they are one of the very few things that you do NEED, though most of the world manages with a simple piece of cloth. Look for a slingmeet in your area and/or I think Big Mama Slings lets you return whichever you try if you don´t get on with it. I used a Wilkinet when...
