I started mine tonight. I used the tea out of 10 teabags (maybe mine were bigger than yours but it measured out 4 tbsp so thats all that mattered), 1kg sugar, 2 tsps citric acid, 1 tsp yeast nutrient and a hock yeast (I have a collection I got from ebay). Am i right in thinking that the only problem with carrots and stones is that they don't come out of the ground that nice straight shape? I'm not bothered about strange shaped carrots, as long as they grow!! Thats what I wonder about. Everyone says not to plant them in stony soil due to the weird sh...

I haven't had a car for 10 years. It actually works out cheaper (in the Uk anyway) to use public transport and hire cars for when you really need one. I read that throwing them into your compost bin is the best thing to do. They help break down the compost, and the heat in the bin kills the eggs. I think I may pop out a hedgehog box too though, as we don't seem to have many round here now. :( What about putting dried holly leaves or gorse branches...
