We just don't keep anything down there that is of any value. We walk down and carry our spade with us and then we also drive (when we really have to) and take other bits with us. Unfortunately it is a sad fact of life but is also more convenient for us as it means we can still use our tools etc at h...

May I just say well done and I sympathise. We took our allotment on in the middle of February and it was all over grown and we are still clearing. In answer to the compost question - you just pack the compost in nice and tightly before planting and then put them on a tray and the compost stays put nicely - it just all binds together. Be careful with your watering though as i over watered some of mine and they have gone all slimey and mouldy! O...
