excuse me saying, davie, but there ARE specialist techniques needed to make a well balanced and stable working dropspindle.
there are too many bad ones out there already....
but if you can explain what you need, a more experienced woodturner should be able to deliver.

Strange no one is speaking about the ones that grow foods for a living huh? No its the allotment gardeners....come on, use your brains, people.

dreamer asks: goats for milk.
since shortly I am in touch with someone who has the same dream as I do, starting a community farm. my suggestion was to keep goats, for milk (mostly, as she wanted to be vegetarian) and make dairy products. my question is, how hard is that? both keeping goats and the dairying. someone tell a comple...

Re: Does anyone NOT have a television?
I still have a tv.
My youngest (18) left home last week.
Since then haven't watched a lot.....
Considering giving up tv. Will I be able to handle that? I will miss BBC (am in netherlands) which has the only worthwhile programmes......

how to make honey liqueur?
has someone on this board maybe a reliable recipe for honey liqueur to make?
of course there are sources on the web, usually involves vodka and a pound of honey but I'd like something with more complex flavors.

BUT its a real alternative read from HF.....with good advice (that you can use anywhere). it not as glossy as the british magazines, but also, mucho cheaper! should be easily avai...

Re: a different magazine? which one?
jerry, I don't agree with you that we can find the other 10% online anyway. if you look at what HF writes...it IS different. and I do buy the books anyway as far as I want them.....its just nice to have a magazine each month, that reminds who of who you are and what you dream of, and encourages you ...
