How do I start a blog?

Hi all, I'm hoping to get an allotment soon and merge the Square Foot Gardening Method with Moon Gardening. I'd like to start writing a blog so that those who are interested can check my progress and use me as a benchmark...trouble is, I'm afraid I don't know where to start. Can anyone advise...

Hi, I'm not an authority on any of your ailments I'm afraid but reading through - it seems that a lot of issues are caused by our eating habits. Can I recommend a book called 'Slim 4 Life: Freedom From The Food Trap' by Jason Vale. It's not really about dieting so the first part of the title is slig...

Funny, isn't it - it seems to be the blokes who are into skirts and high heels... Well, you can wear them, if you like - I don't mind!
LOL - well said ina. I very, very rarely wear skirts and I've had no complaints thus far!

Wow - that's brilliant. Thanks guys. I'll definitely be doing some of those ideas. I think I'll set a weekend aside at the beginning of December so that Jybson and I can go out walking and/or look for things to make decorations with. It's got to be more fun than spending good money on plastic tat. T...

Hello everyone and thank you for being so welcoming. I have no problem at all with being referred to as jobi or jobi1. I was quite entertained by the reference to 'square moon gardening' and then my partner (Jybson) delightfully started calling it 'Square Foot Mooning' ! So when you see a to...

Hi,

Might I suggest using Facebook - the site is not so messy and allows you to share photos a whole lot more easily than My Space...I'd love to see some pictures of your self sufficient-ish'ness'!

Although I don't think it allows for such easy 'networking' as MySpace...

Ahh - having just asked you about where to find information about your book - I read the announcement about it!

Exceedingly well done!

I'm a prolific book reader - buying approx. 4-8 books per month so I've added this to my Wish List ready for it's publication.

Can't wait!

Greetings from jobi1canobi in Leicestershire

Hi all, My name is Joanna and although I'm currently living in Leicestershire, I am seriously considering a move back to my homeland of West Yorkshire. I am literally brand new to Self Sufficiency and am a little sceptical about whether this is fully achievable in this day and age - as a result I pr...

I picked a whole bunch of poppy seed heads today to dry for Christmas. They look lovely sprayed gold or silver and put in amongst dried flower displays. Thanks for the tip - while camping this weekend my partner picked up some fallen pine cones, initially to burn on the camp fire - but I decided th...
