(b.t.w. I did a short 5Q-interview with Vandana Shiva: http://www.turtugablanku.com...

Re: The Great Mosquito War 2012

I live in the tropics and most of the mosquitos show up in the rainy season. However, for those using a drip-system to water their plants or those keeping plants in pots which are placed on a dish and/or for those having old tires/other stuff in which rain water stays, it can be a yearround pain. 5Q-interview with 'The World Without Us' - Alan Weisman

documentary "The Corporation"

There's a great documentary which I would like to recommend called "The Corporation" (by Mark Achbar, Jennifer Abbott and Joel Bakan). Inspired by this film, I made a song called 'No More'. Several prominent people are featuring in this documentary, including Naom Chomsky, Milton Friedman,...

solar power = wallet-friendly in 2013

"solar power is going to be the wallet-friendly option as soon as 2013": http://tinyurl.com/3guqxj4 "Once grid parity is reached, it becomes economically stupid for power companies to not be installing large fields of solar panels to generate the cheapest form of available energy.&quo...

Re: Advice needed on car without anti freeze!!!!

They're lucky. The engine is sort of protected from frozen cooling water by the freeze/core plugs (they are pushed out of the engine when the cooling water expands while freezing up), but replacing those freeze plugs can mean taking out your entire engine to be able to reach them. Normal water inste...
