I'm growing zucchini and I've seen people growing potatoes in large bags. I've also got a lemon tree in a pot and I'm about to buy a grafted tree which I'll put in a pot. The tree will have 3 or 4 different stone fruits grafted onto it, so one tree 4 fruits! I can't wait. (unfortunately I'm in Aust ...

frozenthunderbolt, thanks for the reply, that could have been a great idea especially as the tree is too big for hand picking only there are some plants underneath it that I wouldn't be able to put newspaper on effectively. The bugs would fall to the ground and I wouldn't be able to collect them all...

Thanks for the replys guys, Still not sure what I'm going to do to fix the problem but I now have some ideas - though none for the tarragon yet so if anyone has any? The-fee-fairy: Bugger, my understanding was that sage was a perennial bush so I thought for once I could let one of my herbs flower wh...

Bronze Orange Bug on my Mandarin
Wouldn't you know it, two weeks after excitedly discovering that the random tree in my back yard is a mandarin, I find it infested with bronze orange bug and all the lovely flowers and buds have been eaten. I would love some advise for next year - this year is a write off I think. I have read about ...

Hey there, I'm in Petersham Nev, inner city, small blocks, Oh Well. Lots of fabulous organic markets and we are just down the road from the bower and reverse garbage, my 2 favourite places in the city! Frozenthunderbolt, would be nice if we had gotten interested seriously in solar decades ago but oh...

Hi from Sydney
