Did someone say Anarchy? 'In the UK'?
I'm in. I have not bought a newspaper for months now, and this is mainly the reason. Call me naive, it's the way i like it.
I know this sounds bad but it's Me and Mine first i'm afraid.

Re: I've been broken into
My best to you too.
We were also broken into quite a few years ago, yes it is awful and everything you are feeling will go. They did get the moron, we are in Kent and he was caught, believe it or not, in Leeds. So keep your spirits up, This is right place for support.

Re: Bread maker help please
I was given a bread maker about three years ago by my inlaws, used it a couple of times and now sits in the shed. Could not prefer it over making it by hand, anyway, dare I say, there is something about getting your fingers into it when making fresh bread, or should i see a doctor???

Re: Is it just me but.......................................
Has to be real ale and cider for me, cant stand lager i'm afraid, might be ok for catching the slugs though. There's a chap who lives in a village couple of miles up the road who makes his own cider semi/commercial very strong and really nice. I'm involved in organising a local Beer festival in Kent...

Re: reflecting on 2010 and new years resolutions.....
Be glad to see the back of 2010 to be honest. I was the victim of a serious assault back in April and ruined for most of the year, could hardly do a thing on the allotment, although family and friends did help when possible. Next year, make the most of what i have and restructure my whole life. It h...

Veggie Haggis
With Burns night being my next for a little drink and eats I have invited a friend round who has never been to one. Unfortunately his OH is a vegetarian which obviously means i cannot give her the traditional one we have ( I have an old customer of mine that makes mine for me every year ). Has anyon...

Re: The Open Farm Project
Best wishes for the project. I'm afraid i am a fair jaunt from you to be able to give any physical help, but keep us updated and any assistance in the future i can give i will. To give youngsters this kind of education is a great idea.

Re: Interest rates cut to 3%
I have to admit i'm also not very financially astute. I do understand that there are going to be hard times ahead. Whether i have the right attitude or not i don't know but my philosophy is, as long as there is food on the table and a roof over the OH and kids head everything else can wait. The impo...

I've not long been back from the lottie and also found them on sprouting as well as my winter cabbages. echo the point about frosts asap apart from needing it to sweeten up the parsnips.

Re: What would you do?
I'm afraid I would have to agree with the others. Because of the length of the journey a quick hour here and there isn't really feasable. The only exception i would say maybe if you are in the area a couple of times a week is it set up, or could you put a reasonable size shed on the site for a) stor...
